ISLAMABAD: Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan has urged the international community, particularly the United Nations, to act against India’s war crimes and crimes against humanity in illegally seized Kashmir.
PM Imran Khan said the Hindutva Modi government is blatantly violating UN Security Council resolutions, international humanitarian law, and international conventions, including the 4th Geneva Convention, and committing war crimes by attempting to change the status and demography of IIOJK in a series of tweets on the occasion of Right to Self-Determination Day.

The UN Security Council’s promise of a UN-supervised plebiscite in Kashmir, according to Imran Khan, has not been fulfilled.
Kashmiris, he said, continue to oppose and reject Indian occupation and persecution.
Pakistan’s strong commitment to the righteous Kashmiri struggle for self-determination was reaffirmed by the prime minister.

Today is International Right to Self-Determination Day, which is observed by Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and around the world (Wednesday).
The United Nations Security Council passed a resolution on January 5, 1949, recognising the Kashmiris’ right to chose their own future through a UN-sponsored plebiscite.
