Saba Faisal regrets posting videos against his daughter-in-law
In a video posted earlier last week, veteran actor Saba Faisal expressed guilt for responding to rumours about her personal life by disparaging her son and daughter-in-law. She claimed that although it was a trying moment and her feelings had the upper hand, it wouldn’t happen again.
On a local talk show, Saba made an appearance and explained why she had posted a video criticising her son Salman Faisal and his wife of four years, Neha Salman. Regarding the reason she shared the video at such an awful hour, she stated,“It was a sensitive time for me when I posted that video online. I shouldn’t have done that and I regret it.”
The Dil-e-Momin actor added that she has always shared a close relationship with her son Salman Faisal and she only spoke against him because she was hurt. “If I took my son’s name in that video then you have to understand how truly hurt I was. But I understand how we, as adults, should handle such situations with maturity,” she said. “Perhaps, I didn’t show that maturity for a while and reacted out of impulse. I’ve deleted both videos now because I couldn’t bring myself to see them again.”
She revealed that she actually found Neha for her son and got them married because she liked her very much. “Alhamdullilah she’s still with my son but you know we can’t change and mould people according to our ways of living and values. That’s why I regret posting the video.”
Saba went on to describe the relationship she shares with her son. “Our relationship is very beautiful. He’s exactly the kind of child that I was to my parents. We’re very close but the love that we share eventually gets divided when a family grows. Your time, attention and care gets divided but if there’s anyone taking a stand for that, then that’s my kid. He (Salman) is the kind of kid who knows how to sustain relationships.”
“There’s an important reason why I making this video at this hour,” Saba began in the aforementioned clip. “I have never aired my dirty laundry in this manner before. However, I have been forced to discuss my personal matters publicly. To everyone who has been abusing me under Neha’s post, I want to say that when a woman like Neha becomes a part of a family – someone who’s as negative as her – then those families fall apart.”
She added, “I have been living a very difficult life for the last four years. I was worried about my son and kept wondering how he will live his whole life with a woman like Neha. I won’t get into the nitty-gritty of it but the severity of the situation could be understood that I have resorted to making a video about it.”
Addressing how different social media pages shared Neha’s posts hinting at squabble between Saba and her son’s family, the actor lamented, “We stayed quiet about it because if we react, then it would go viral. I just want to announce that we have no relationship with Neha. If my son, Salman, wishes to stay with his wife, then our family has no association with him as well. If he believes his wife can be a reason for comfort and honour here and in the afterlife, then he can be with her but we have severed ties with Salman.”

Saba went on to comment, “If I were to dish the dirt, then you’ll spit on us. I don’t want that.” Asking her followers, and fans to not be judgmental, the Habs actor relayed, “You can’t judge us on such comments. I am not asking you to decide without listening to the other side of the story nor am I holding anyone accountable. I am only saying Salman can live with his wife if he wishes, but we have decided to part ways with him as a family.
She concluded the video teary-eyed, “If a mother makes such a statement, then I am sure you could understand [the circumstances]. Saba received severe backlash on how she shouldn’t have aired her dirty laundry online.
