Local news media reported on Monday that 700 sacks of urea fertilisers were confiscated during a raid at Jamshoro Toll Plaza.
The agriculture and revenue departments collaborated on the action. During the inspection of two trailers at the Jamhsoro Toll Plaza, 700 bags of urea fertiliser were discovered.
The suitcases were being transported from different regions of the province to Karachi. The Urea bags were to be hoarded in Karachi, according to the additional director of agriculture.
He stated that the seized bags would be sold at a government-set price.
Fawad Chaudhry, the Minister for Information and Broadcasting, had previously stated that Sindh was run by a government that “had nothing to do with the welfare of the people” in December of last year.
The federal minister, speaking at a press conference alongside Minister for National Food Security and Research Syed Fakhar Imam, stated that the Sindh government’s policies were harming the province’s people.
According to him, the price of urea fertiliser in Pakistan was Rs1700, while the price on the worldwide market had surpassed Rs10,000.
According to the minister, sending a truck laden with urea fertiliser abroad will yield Rs8 million.
