ISLAMABAD: According to local news media, the federal government has increased the price of fuel, gasoline, and other items by up to Rs4.15 per litre.
The federal government increased the price of petroleum products by Rs4 per litre in petrol, Rs4 in high-speed diesel (HSD), Rs3.95 in kerosene oil, and Rs4.15 in light diesel oil.
After increasing from Rs140.82 per litre, the new price of petrol is Rs144.82 per litre, HSD is Rs137.62 per litre, kerosine oil is Rs109.53 per litre, and light diesel oil is Rs107.06 per litre.
The notice will take effect on January 1, 2022, and will last for 15 days.
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) had announced earlier in the day that the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) would be reduced for the month of January 2022.
LPG prices would drop by Rs5.9 per kilogramme, according to a regulatory body’s statement, and it will now be sold out at Rs196.67 per kilogramme.
An 11.8 kg domestic LPG cylinder has been decreased by Rs69.63 for the month of January 2022. A household cylinder’s new price has been set at Rs2,320. For the month of December, the domestic cylinder price was set at $2,390.
