According to the Prime Minister (PM), Shehbaz Sharif, the present coalition government would serve out its full term before holding a general election after August 2023.
The next elections would be held on time, he said in answer to a query from a Turkish news station, and he added that his government represents the desire of the people because it came to power through a legal procedure.
In addition, he pointed out that, with the exception of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, the current coalition government includes all of Pakistan’s main political groups (PTI).
Additionally, he said that the allied regime is working to address the nation’s pressing issues because the economy is about to collapse. He also criticized the previous administration’s economic policies and noted that the nation is struggling with a number of problems, such as rising inflation, the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, the effects of an epidemic, and investor skepticism.
Additionally, he asserted that the government is using a variety of tactics to address the economy’s problems in such a short amount of time, and he concurred that the decision to end untargeted subsidies had an immediate effect on the economy. Additionally, he said that the bulk of the government’s strategies will be to the public’s benefit.
