YouTube currently has more Android downloads than people on earth

The number of YouTube downloads for Android has already surpassed 10 billion. That number exceeds the estimated world population as a whole.

To be fair, you must take into account its inclusion in Google’s app suite on every Android phone, but even so, 10 billion is an astounding number.

Facebook, the second most downloaded app on the Play Store, has received over 7 billion downloads. With more than 6 billion downloads, WhatsApp is in third place, followed by Facebook Messenger with more than 5 billion and Instagram with more than 3 billion.

More than 10 billion people have downloaded Google’s well-known video platform.

There are currently 8 billion people living on the planet, according to estimates. This year, Android saw the activation of 3 billion devices, and 2.89 million more apps were made accessible through the Google Play Store.

If you believe that many downloads for the YouTube app for Android are astounding, it has now surpassed 10 billion. That number exceeds the estimated world population as a whole.

Surprisingly, Netflix and Twitter are further down the list; with more than 1.5 billion downloads, Netflix edges out the social microblogging service.
