Asad Umar, the Federal Planning Minister, has been named as the PTI’s new Secretary General by the Prime Minister.
After Prime Minister Imran Khan announced the new PTI officebearers, Federal Information and Broadcasting Minister Chaudhry Fawad Hussain announced the new party appointments.
Pervez Khattak has been named PTI President of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Zaidi of Sindh, Qasim Suri of Balochistan, Shafqat Mehmood of Punjab, and Khusro Bakhtiar of South Punjab, according to Fawad.
Prime Minister Imran Khan has also selected Amir Mahmood Kiani as the PTI’s Additional Secretary General, according to Fawad.
After a devastating setback in the first phase of local government elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Prime Minister Imran Khan dissolved all PTI organizations across the country on Friday.
The prime minister voiced his displeasure with the party’s performance in the KP local body elections. He said that the PTI was still the “largest party in the province” based on the results of village council elections.
