In context to Pakistan where the video and audio leaks scandal is increasing day by day.
Ashar Azeem Ex Civil Servant mentioned in his YouTube video related to how Intelligence Agencies record videos.
According to him “Intelligence Agencies most of the time book rooms and houses on rent and hold parties, in which most prominent people are invited. Usually women are also invited on the parties and are offered other luxuries as well including alcohol, and dances. Moreover, prominent ones are also urged to spend personal time in parties. At that moment some private things are recorded which are further used by intelligence agencies for blackmailing”.
Some people claim that the nation’s potent military is responsible for the “audio leaks” and video leaks issue.
Former lawmaker and opponent of the Pakistani military Bushra Gohar claims that politicians’ phones had previously been bugged.
She said that secret recordings are used by intelligence agencies to blackmail politicians and damage civilian administrations, saying, “I highlighted the problem of unlawful phone tapping of politicians in parliament.”
“The fact that even the PM’s office is unsafe for any type of security meeting raises severe concerns. Although the audio content is being discussed in public, no one is raising the issue of whether these recordings are legal,” she said.
The practice of audio leaks as well as video leaks according to analyst Khan, might be harmful to Pakistan’s democracy since it would “provide more space for Islamist groups.”
