A girl was found dead in Karachi’s Orangi Town, according to reports. According to the family, the minor girl was murdered by an unknown male.
According to SSP Suhai Aziz, the girl was found hanged at her house, while two young siblings believe their sister was murdered by an unknown male.
The minor siblings alleged in a statement to police that their sister was strangled to death by an unidentified male.
SSP Suhai Aziz stated that police were looking into the matter from all angles and that the perpetrator would be apprehended soon.
“An investigation team has been formed under the supervision of DSP Jaffer Baloch,” she said, adding that the cause of death would be ascertained after the post-mortem report.
The body of a minor girl, on the other hand, was transported to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for autopsy, but the administration reportedly denied post-mortem due to the lack of a female doctor due to a public holiday.
The 12-year-old girl was discovered hanging at her Karachi house on Sunday morning.
Orangi Town lies in the northwestern part of the city that was named after the sprawling municipality of Orangi. Orangi Town was formed in 2001 as part of The Local Government Ordinance 2001 and was subdivided into 13 union councils. The town system was disbanded in 2011, and Orangi Town was reorganized as part of Karachi West District in 2015.
