At the Adelaide Oval on Thursday, Alex Hales and Jos Buttler were both on pace to reach their individual fifties while fending against Indian bowlers as they attempt to score 169 runs.
In 28 balls, Alex Hales quickly reached his fifty while receiving solid assistance from the other end from Jos Buttler. Earlier, India reached 168 for 6 thanks to Hardik Pandya’s 33-ball 63 and Virat Kohli’s 50.
For England, Chris Jordan took three wickets, but in his four overs, he also let up 43 runs. After winning the toss, England’s captain Jos Buttler decided to bowl first.
