Sindh Education Department shuts 391 schools in Badin.
The illiteracy rate is already high in Sindh and Sindh’s Education department has declared 391 primary schools non-functional and closed down facilities in different areas of Badin district including Talhar, Tando Bago, and Golarchi towns.
Local officials of the education department said the decision to close such a large number of schools was due to incompetence and wrong planning at the top and also due to the negligence of teachers who do not come to take classes and inattention of the parents who do not send their children to school.

Hyderabad Region Primary Elementary and Higher Secondary School Education Director Azizullah Odho took notice of the public reaction and decided to hold a public hearing on Saturday over the closure of non-functional schools in Badin.
Famous educationist of Badin Prof Dr. Ismail Memon said the children of this underdeveloped area lack access to modern educational facilities, while the substandard government-run schools are being shut too.
As Sindh Education Department shuts 391 schools in Badin, Political activist and community mobilizer Khadim Ali Talpur were of the view that education in Sindh’s rural areas was being destroyed systematically through negligence and corruption.
