DIAFA: Maya Ali awarded with ‘Pakistani Actress of the Year’
Maya Ali looked stunning as she walked up to the stage at Distinctive International Arab Festivals Awards (DIAFA) Friday night. The actor received an award for ‘Pakistani Actress of the Year.’
Ali looked stunning in a figure-hugging off-shoulder teal gown with elaborate sleeves and a tail to follow.
She kept her makeup soft while her hair was kept neat in a messy updo and her diamond necklace complemented the whole look. The Mann Mayal actor made her way to the stage amid roaring applause.
“It is a great feeling to be here with all these people,” the actor said in her acceptance speech. “I am speechless right now but I am so grateful to all the people who made this happen.” Adding on, Ali expressed her gratitude and commented, “Thank you, DIAFA for honoring me. Thank you to all my fans back in Pakistan. I think there is no better way to represent our own country than this platform.”
Later, she took to social media and shared images from the big night. “Proud to represent my country, our ambitions, and our mettle on the international stage of DIAFA. This one is for you Pakistan.”

Many of her peers congratulated Ali on her big feat. Bilal Ashraf, Dananeer, and HSY among many others sent best wishes to the Teefa in Trouble actor. Other award recipients include international stars such as 365 Days actor Michele Morrone, film director Song Yinxi, French singer Gims and Armenian artist Iveta Mukuchyan.
The award show has honored several celebrities from Pakistan in the past. Mahira Khan was presented with the International Recognition Award and Sajal Ali received the International Icon Award in 2020.
