On Thursday, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced that cricketer Abid Ali had undergone another angioplasty, during which physicians placed a second stent and ordered him to rest completely for the next two months.
“Abid underwent a second procedure today,” the PCB said in a statement. He is healing after the treatment was finished satisfactorily. Regarding subsequent treatment and rehabilitation, the PCB medical team is in contact with an Interventional Cardiologist. Abid is currently in a good place.”
PCB also asked fans to respect his and his family’s privacy during this difficult period and to pray for Abid’s quick recovery.
Abid Ali has already requested special prayers for his good health from his admirers all around the world following a successful angioplasty.
Doctors placed a stent in Abid Ali’s heart, and the test cricketer will spend the next 48 hours in the intensive care unit after being diagnosed with the acute coronary syndrome.
Central Punjab opener Abid Ali complained of chest pain during his innings against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy final-round encounter at the Sports Complex in Karachi on Tuesday, according to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
In Central Punjab’s second innings, Abid departed the batting crease at 61.
Abid was rushed to the nearest cardiac facility and diagnosed with Acute Coronary Syndrome.
He was being treated by a consultant cardiologist, who is in contact with the PCB medical team to discuss his treatment options.

After a stellar performance in the two Tests against Bangladesh, Abid Ali returned to play for his home club, Central Punjab. At the first Test in Dhaka, he scored 133 and 91 runs in two innings and was named Player of the Match in Pakistan’s eight-wicket victory.
He struck 39 in Pakistan’s solitary innings in the second Test, as the visitors won by 8 wickets in an exciting innings win to complete a clean sweep. He was named Player of the Series after finishing with the most runs in the series.
