D I Khan: Breast Cancer Awareness Program, Walk held at Dinar Cancer Hospital
A Breast cancer awareness program was organized while a walk was also organized in this regard in Dinar Cancer Hospital, D I Khan, here on Thursday.
The title of the program was “Khud se Agahi sey Kesi Pardah Dari”.
Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan Division Aamir Afaq was the chief guest of the program while ex-Director Dinar Cancer Hospital Dr. Amjad Aziz, Dean of Gomal Medical College (GMC) Dr. Naseem Saba, Director of Dinar Cancer Hospital Dr. Nabila Javed and other senior doctors and social personalities were present in the program.
Speaking at the program, Commissioner D I Khan Division Aamir Afaq said, it is the responsibility of the state to provide health facilities to its people adding that we will request the government to provide modern facilities to Dinar Hospital in ordr the quality treatment of cancer patients.
Commissioner Amir Afaq also appealed to the philanthropists of Dera Ismail Khan to donate generously to the Dinar Patient Society so that the patients who cannot afford cancer treatment can be helped.
mr. Amir Afaq said, cancer patients deserve the sympathy of their families and their families should encourage such patients a lot so that they can get well soon.
While giving a briefing in the program, Director of Dinar Cancer Hospital Dr. Nabila Javed said, a free camp was organized in Dinar Hospital from October 21 to 31 in which mammography and check-up of females were done free of cost.

Dr. Nabila Javed said, it is possible to get free treatment for cancer patients with a Health Facilitation Card and along with this, Dinar Patient Welfare Society has also been established in Dinar Hospital so that the treatment of poor people can be done free of cost.
Speaking on the occasion, the patients who recovered from cancer said, cancer is a curable disease and a cancer patient demands the family’s sympathy and hundred percent attention.
At the end of the program, Commissioner D I Khan met the patients who recovered from cancer and a cake was also cut regarding breast cancer awareness.
Commissioner Amir Afaq presented medals of life to the recovered patients on behalf of Dinar Cancer Hospital Administration, while Dr. Naseem Saba on behalf of Dinar Cancer Hospital gave an honorary shield to Commissioner Amir Afaq.
