Rihanna all set for her musical comeback after 6 years

The singer, 34, revealed her connection to the movie on Twitter on Wednesday by teasing the lead track from the soundtrack, “Lift Me Up.” Prior to the film’s premiere on November 11, the song will be made available on Friday.

The song is a remembrance of the late actor Chadwick Boseman, who played the title role in the first “Black Panther” film and passed away in November 2020 at the age of 43 following a protracted fight with colon cancer.

Since her 2016 album “Anti,” this is Rihanna’s first brand-new work as a solo performer.

According to Disney-owned Marvel, the song was co-written with Nigerian singer-songwriter Tems, Oscar-winning composer Ludwig Gransson, and “Black Panther” director Ryan Coogler. In collaboration with Roc Nation, Def Jam Recordings, and Hollywood Records, it will be published under Rihanna’s Westbury Road record label.

“I wanted to compose something that depicted a warm embrace from all the individuals that I’ve lost in my life after chatting with Ryan and hearing his vision for the song and the movie. In a statement, Tems stated, “I tried to picture how it would feel if I could sing to them now and tell them how much I miss them.

Rihanna has served as an inspiration to Tems, so hearing her perform this song is truly an honour. On November 4, “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” will release its soundtrack.

The nine-time Grammy Award-winning singer has built a thriving career in business since the release of her album “Anti,” and Forbes recognised her as the youngest self-made billionaire in the United States.
