Imran Khan’s disqualification not moment of joy, says PM Shehbaz
The disqualification of former prime minister Imran Khan, according to Prime Minister Shehbaz, is a cause for contemplation rather than celebration.
At a news conference in Lahore, he shared his opinions with the law minister, Azam Nazeer Tarar, and the adviser, Attaullah Tarar.
The PM declared Imran Khan to be a proven thief, traitor, and liar.
He claimed that Imran Khan provided the name of the Chief Election Commissioner for the position and that this individual has found Imran Khan guilty of engaging in corrupt behavior.
Imran, he claimed, was elected following the “worst rigging,” and the PTI leader auctioned off state goods while saying the money would go to the treasury.
If you had placed money from selling state presents in the treasury, the country would have praised you. Despite becoming your political rival, I would have as well, he said, claiming Imran had disrespected Pakistan.
PM Shehbaz recalled receiving a letter from the Cabinet Division once informing him that, for a certain sum, he could purchase a state gift.
I deposited the present in the Toshakhana and replied to the letter with “No, thank you.”
He claimed that in order to debunk the myth that state gifts vanish, they are now on display at the Prime Minister’s House. So that the public will know who sold the gifts and kept the money, I have them now [displayed] in PM House.
This kind of disrespect for the nation, according to PM Shehbaz, is a “very serious thing.” Nothing is worse, he said, than a prime minister pocketing the money from selling state gifts without having them valued.
He emphasized that the person who accused others of stealing had been established as a “certified thief.”
Imran’s Banigala home was allegedly built against the law, according to the prime minister, but the PTI leader later had it legalized. “However, he later traveled to Raiwind to destroy my mother’s house. This is the [level] of his retaliation.”
The prime minister also took issue with PTI leaders’ claim that Nawaz Sharif, the head of the PML-N, had “written” the electoral watchdog’s decision against Imran. He questioned whether Imran wrote the ruling that resulted in Nawaz’s disqualification based on that premise.
He praised Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto, Hina Rabbani Khar, officials, and authorities for the accomplishment, calling being off the FATF’s “grey list” a significant accomplishment.
He asserted that the FATF controversy was handled extremely responsibly by Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
The PM stated, “We also contributed significantly to the opposition in the FATF-related legislation.
According to the prime minister, national interest and dignity have never been subordinated.
According to him, the flood victims must continue to sit outside while receiving warm clothing, food, and tents.
During Nawaz Sharif’s administration, he claimed, Pakistan was not on the grey list.
Pakistan 🇵🇰 exiting the FATF grey list is a vindication of our determined and sustained efforts over the years. I would like to congratulate our civil & military leadership as well as all institutions whose hard work led to today’s success. Aap sab ko bohat bohat Mubarak 🙂
