Xi would be declared sinner if he invades Taiwan
Taiwan‘s top security official warned on Thursday that if China invaded Taiwan, President Xi Jinping would be considered a “sinner” by all Chinese people and would not prevail in a conflict because he would face international sanctions and diplomatic isolation.
Over the past two years, China has increased military and political pressure against Taiwan, which is democratically governed, in an effort to bolster its sovereignty claims, which the Taipei government vehemently opposes.
Xi declared that it was up to the Chinese people to settle the Taiwan problem and that China would never give up the right to use force but would instead continue to work toward a peaceful conclusion as he opened the twice-every-ten-year congress of the country’s ruling Communist Party.
Xi would meet tragedy if he carried out his threats to ever attack Taiwan, according to Chen Ming-tong, chief of Taiwan’s National Security Bureau, who was speaking to media outside of parliament.
Chen stated that employing force to assault Taiwan has no chance of success. For doing so, he added, China would be subject to international penalties and diplomatic isolation.

Chen remarked, referring to those who are of Chinese ethnicity rather than nationality, “Xi would forfeit the so-called great rejuvenation of the Chinese people, and become a sinner of the Chinese people.”
The government of Taiwan contends that only the 23 million residents of the island can determine its future and that Taiwan’s claims to sovereignty are invalid because the PRC has never ruled Taiwan.
The two sides should respect one another and grow independently since that is how the people would be happy, according to Chen.
