Hina Khar in France to participate in FATF meeting

Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar is now in France in order to attend the FATF meeting.

State Minister Khar met with Emmanuel Bonne, the diplomatic adviser to the French president, during her tour, and they spoke about the bilateral relations between France and Pakistan at the time.

The meeting took place in Élysée, the French president’s official house, where they also discussed significant local and international issues.

Khar also had a meeting with Bertrand Walckenaer, Additional Director General of the French Development Agency (AFD), at the Pakistan Embassy in Paris.

She commended AFD for its work in Pakistan’s energy, sustainable urban development, and climate resilience initiatives. Future collaboration in other sectors was also addressed.

Senator Pascal Allizard, president of the France-Pakistan Friendship Group in the French Senate, and Senator Madam Gisèle Jourda, a member of the group, met with the minister of state. The meeting took place in the iconic French Senate building.

She praised Senator Allizard’s contribution to strengthening legislative collaboration between Pakistan and France as well as bilateral relations between the two countries.

Both parties also reviewed the flood situation in Pakistan as well as political, trade, business, economic, cultural, and educational links between the two nations.
