Young Doctors’ Association Sukkur declared complete OPD service boycott

After the filing of an “FIR” against doctors, the Young Doctors’ Association Sukkur has declared a complete OPD service boycott for tomorrow.

A few days ago, when an infant was abducted from the NICU of the GMC Hospital in Sukkur, the police instead of apprehending the offenders filed a case against the doctor nurses, and NICU technicians on the application of the baby’s parents.

Talking to the media Doctors said, In actuality, it is the hospital administration’s responsibility to provide security, why is it that every time this administration fails to do so, doctors are constantly to blame? Doctors are there to cure children, not to provide security.

After this incident, there was anger among the doctors and staff which badly impacted their routine duties and created chaos.

Today, the Young Doctors Association has announced a complete boycott of OPDs starting tomorrow until the FIR is eliminated in response to the injustice and lawlessness of the police, which they strongly condemned.
