#ArrestKohli trends in India as Kohli’s fan killed Rohit’s fan
On Saturday, a weird hashtag called #ArrestKohli shook Twitter as the excitement for the T20 World Cup reached its zenith. What is the cause? In Tamil Nadu, India, a man is said to have killed his friend over a drunken argument about whether Rohit Sharma or Virat Kohli was the better player.
The 21-year-old suspect was discovered to be a die-hard Rohit Sharma devotee, while his pal was a fan of Virat Kohli.
The argument between the two buddies about cricket quickly descended into a bloody fight. Local media said that the two were intoxicated.
“As per the initial investigation, (the victim) was supporting Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL) while the suspect was a Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) supporter,” police said.
“During the course of their debate, the victim had allegedly mocked RCB and Virat Kohli. He had the habit of body-shaming the suspect, who was a stammerer. On that day, he had made some remarks comparing the RCB team to the speaking difficulty of the suspect,” local police told the media.
The accused attacked the victim with a bottle and hit him with a cricket bat on the head. The suspect was arrested for murder on Thursday.
Fans and Twitterati couldn’t help but react to the shocking incident, thus start striking #ArrestKohli up the charts.
Some tweets demanded justice:

However, others finds it pointless it to put the blame on the cricket star Kohli.
I dont Understand why this #ArrestKohli trend is spreading on social media. Being someone's fan is OK but killing somebody with difference preference is just not done. The second thing is it's not Virat's mistake that people are his fans. CMON HE DOESNT EVEN CAPTAIN RCB ANYMORE
