Babar Azam celebrates birthday with all team captains

Following a joint news conference in Melbourne before of the T20 World Cup, all the team captains joined together to celebrate Pakistani captain Babar Azam’s 28th birthday on October 15 at Plaza Ballroom in Melbourne after Aaron Finch brought a cake for him. Babar turned 28 on Saturday.

Pakistan captain ​Babar Azam​ celebrated his birthday with 15 other captains of the world cricket at the T20 World Cup press conference.

While the Pakistani captain was speaking with Scotland’s Richie Berrington, Australia captain Aaron Finch presented him with a birthday cake at T20 WC presser.

As Babar turned 28, the press wished him ‘Happy Birthday’ and the 15 other captains to decided to wish him . The moment the press conference came to an end, Australian skipper Aaron Finch played a role of good host and brought a cake for Babar. Babar, who was sitting alongside Scotland’s Richie Berrington cut the cake in front of the media. However, this wasn’t the only one Babar cut at the Ballroom on Saturday

The Pakistan captain also cut a two-tier green-coloured cake outside the press room when he was surrounded by all other captains. ICC shared the images from the birthday celebration captioning, “Happy birthday @babarazam258. That cake looks good!”

On October 23, Pakistan will play their bitter rivals Pakistan in the World Cup opener.

When Babar and Rizwan led Pakistan to a big 10-wicket victory during the T20 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates last year, the curse of never defeating India in a World Cup game in any format was broken.

After winning all five of its group games, Pakistan advanced to the semifinals before losing to Australia.

Pakistan’s Babar Azam was among 16 captains, who addressed the press conference at Plaza Ballroom in Melbourne ahead of T20 World Cup. While it was the first time that all captains came together before the marquee event kicks off in Geelong on Sunday.
