Burnt Hair: All about the new perfume launched by Elon Musk
Elon Musk has launched a perfume called “Burnt Hair” that he said sold 10,000 bottles in just a few hours.
The price of ‘Burnt Hair’ is $100 a bottle (about Rs 8230) and Musk said it earned him a million dollars within a few hours of its launch.
Musk announced the perfume on Tuesday, and the website of his Boring Company described it as “the essence of repugnant desire”.
The Twitter bio of the world’s richest man – and the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX – now describes him as ‘Perfume Salesman’.
“With a name like mine, getting into the fragrance business was inevitable – why did I even fight it for so long!?” Musk asked on Twitter
“Just like leaning over a candle at the dinner table, but without all the hard work,” the website page reads.”Stand out in a crowd! Get noticed as you walk through the airport.”
Musk has the reputation of turning out products out of what initially looked like jokes.
- His Boring Company, a tunnelling firm, sold flamethrowers at $500 apiece in early 2018.
- He also sold 50,000 Boring Company hats
In 2020, he sold mini gym red shorts to signify victory.
