Dyslexia Bill 2022 passed by National Assembly of Pakistan
Dyslexia Bill 2022 has been passed by both the houses. The bill was aimed for addressing difficulties related to Dyslexia in joint sessions of National Assembly. With the concentrated efforts of IDEAS_PK, Irum Mumtaz and Parliamentary Secretary Education Minister Zeb Jaffar the bill has been passed by both the houses.
A day ago, Senator Nuzhat Sadiq also introduced the Special Measures for Dyslexia Act of 2022, which passed the House of Representatives. The bill aimed to provide special measures for the education of children with dyslexia or related disorders.

In 2022, Dyslexia Awareness Week is going to be celebrated with theme of Breaking Through Barriers. Dyslexia Awareness Week is observed between 03-09 October 2022. The theme this year will allow to reflect on the barriers that those living with dyslexia often face, while also focusing on how individuals, organisations and the education system have continued to succeed and break through these obstacles.
