D I Khan: Narcotics Eradication Team seized 70 kg hashish on Inter-Provincial Highway
Narcotics Eradication Team (NET) along with D I Khan Police recovered 70 kg of hashish from a vehicle in a major operation against drug trafficking on inter-provincial Highway Dera Ismail Khan-Quetta Road.
A Narcotics Eradication Team (NET) Official told The Asian Mirror that D I Khan Police’s Narcotics Eradication Team (NET) along with Darazinda Police under the leadership of DSPO Darazinda Circle Sagheer Geelani has launched a major crackdown against drug trafficking.
On a tip-off, the Narcotics Eradication Team and Darazinda Police reached the Aman Mela Check Post, a vehicle Toyota Corolla No. AHB-970 Sindh Model 2005 was coming from Quetta to Dera Ismail Khan via Zhob.
The NET and Police stopped the car on the basis of suspicion, the person sitting on the driving seat told his name as Kamil Abbas, son of Amir Hussain, resident of Bhawana, Punjab.
On checking the car, 58 packets of hashish wrapped in yellow tape were recovered from the hidden compartments of the car, all the packets collectively weighed 70 kg.

The Police seized the drugs and arrested the accused and also registered a case against the drug trafficker under Anti-Narcotics Act.
