Lakki Marwat: Robbers looted Rs. 2 million from Post Office
Four unidentified armed men looted cash from a post office in Ghaznikhel town of Lakki Marwat, said police on Sunday.
Police said that the armed bandits entered the post office running in a rented building, took the staffers and pensioners hostage at gunpoint and decamped with over Rs 2 million.
They said that the armed men also fired in the air before leaving the place.
The post office’s postmaster Amir Nawaz told police that he along with postman Inamullah was busy in disbursement of pension amount among pensioners when four armed men entered the building.
“The armed men beat us with bullets of assault rifles and they asked us and others not to move and be silent”, he maintained.
He said that the armed men snatched over Rs 2 million and escaped on motorcycles after firing in the air.
Police said that DPO Ziauddin Ahmed along with a large contingent reached the place and launched a search for the bandits in the area.
