Users of the social media app Snapchat posted about their service this morning. Snapchat is a photo-sharing application that allows users to take photos and send them to friends.
Problem reports started popping up on Down Detector, an app for reporting website downtime, around 7 am this morning. According to the website, 76% of problems are related to the app not working.
User reports on Twitter suggest the issue is linked to unsent snaps, with hundreds of people taking to the social networking site to share their troubles. One user wrote: “I ran to Twitter to see if Snapchat isn’t available to everyone else as well.”
Another said: “Don’t send images in chat.” On Down Detector, one user wrote “snaps are not sent”.
Snapchat hasn’t confirmed a problem with the service yet, but Down Detector’s reports have quickly climbed to over 7,000 (as of this writing). On Twitter, Snapchat’s support account asks users to send them in DM to try to fix any issues users face.
