Four troops, two officers martyred in Harnai Helicopter Crash

Six Pakistani army officers were martyred after their helicopter crashed during a flight mission near Khost in the Harnai region of Balochistan, an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement said Monday.

The Army Media Department said: “All six personnel on board, including two pilots, embraced the Shahada.”

The tortured officers were identified as Major Khurram Shahzad, 39, a resident of Attock. His wife and daughter survive.

Major Muhammad Muneeb Afzal, 30, originally from Rawalpindi. He was married and had two children. Sub Abdul Wahid, 44, resident of Sabir Abad village in Karak. He is survived by his wife and four children.

Sepoy Muhammad Imran, 27, resident of Makhdoompur Khanewal. He was married and had three children, including two daughters and a son.

Nk Jalil, 30, was part of the crew, a resident of Kharian, Gujrat District. He is survived by his wife and two sons.

Sepoy Shoaib, 35, resident of Attock district. He was married and had a son.

Earlier, a Pakistani army flying helicopter which was in action against floods in Lasbela in Balochistan went missing and the wreckage of the helicopter was later found in a coastal district of Balochistan.

None of the six officers and crew on board had survived the accident
