Senior journalist Ayaz Amir’s daughter-in-law was allegedly killed by her husband in Chak Shehzad, Islamabad, according to local media.
A woman was murdered in Chak Shehzad, in the area of Shehzad Town Police Station in Islamabad, according to initial reports. She was later identified as the daughter-in-law of senior journalist Ayaz Amir, according to local media reports.
According to Islamabad police, a man named Shah Nawaz killed his wife Sara at home due to some altercation. Senior police officers and forensic teams arrived at the site and took Shah Nawaz into custody.
Islamabad Police said in a statement on Twitter that the investigation into the incident is ongoing and any facts revealed will be shared with the public.

Speaking to reporters outside the stage, Ayaz Amir said the incident was heartbreaking and he prays it never happens to anyone. He said the investigation was ongoing and he could not bear the trauma of the incident.
