Record breaking monsoon finally ends in Pakistan
Monsoon rains finally came to a halt in Pakistan as the record weather system moved away from the eastern borders of Sindh and southern Punjab on Tuesday.
According to Pak Weather, the country’s largest network of private automated weather stations and the largest weather source, the 2022 monsoon broke all records dating back to the British era.
Moreover, this year’s monsoon season has become the wettest on record in Sindh. Since 2019, Sindh has had record consecutive monsoon seasons.
In another similar development, Pakistan finally experienced a dry day on Monday as no part of the country recorded any rain. Pak Weather revealed that clean, dry weather was recorded in Pakistan after 82 days of record-breaking monsoon rains.
In addition, Pakistan is also expected to experience a colder and slightly wetter winter season than the normal winter season. Similarly, monsoon rains are expected to be normal to slightly higher than normal next year.

It would be not wrong to say that Climate change has a direct impact on the changing patterns of monsoon rains. The way country has been witnessing the rising sea level, frequent rains fall alongside devastating floods, it all shows that how Pakistan is vulnerable to climate change.
