Pakistan’s 1st Commonwealth Gold winner Nooh Butt joins Pakistan Customs
Young Pakistani weightlifter Nooh Butt joined Pakistani customs as an honorary assistant collector.
Butt, 24, took home Pakistan’s first gold in the weightlifting event at the 2022 Commonwealth Games last month and enjoys the admiration that comes with him.

Most recently, Pakistani customs appointed him a goodwill ambassador in a ceremony held at the customs office in the country’s cultural capital, Lahore.
FBR customs operations member Mukarram Jah pinned the assistant collector’s badges to Nooh’s uniform and pledged full support to the weightlifter during the upcoming Asian Games.

Speaking to the media, the Pakistani weightlifter said he was honored to receive this post from Pakistani customs as it motivates him to train harder for future events. He also expressed hopes of winning medals at the Asian and Olympic Games.
