Ali Zafar praises Indian singer Arijit Singh on his statement to visit Pakistan. Singer Arijit Singh performed at a concert in the United States in May when he promised fans across the border that he would soon visit Pakistan.

Now Pakistani singer-actor Ali Zafar, who has also starred in Hindi films such as Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, praises Arijit Singh for fearlessly talking about love and brotherhood while he was on stage.

Arijit was at his concert in Houston where, while interacting with a Pakistani fan, he allegedly said, “You can rest your arms there, the person from Pakistan”, adding, “I’ll come to Pakistan”.

A video of the show made the rounds of social media in May, showing fans screaming after Arijit Singh talked about his tour in Pakistan.

In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, Ali talked about Arijit’s gesture. He called him a beautiful person with a beautiful voice. He said: Jo bhi insaan insaniyat se juda hoga vo insaniyat mein hi believe karega. Arijit ki daad est cheez pe banti hai ki ek bade manch par khade, hoke bekhauf hoke pyaar ki baat karna (A person related to humanity only believes in humanity. Arijit deserves credit for being on a big stage and speaks of love and brotherhood without fear).”

In the same interview, Ali was asked about which artists he would like to collaborate with when he reverts to the Arijit name.

Ali praised him saying, “I think Arijit is a wonderful person and a singer. His personality is full of humanity, his voice has innocence. I’ve never met him, but when I see him and listen to him, I feel like he’s a very good person”. Earlier, Arijit expressed his love for Pakistani musicians by voicing his concerns over the country’s singers being banned in India due to strained relations between India and Pakistan.
