Pakistan’s T20 jersey: Fans term it watermelon or chewing gum

Monday is the scheduled release date for the Pakistan cricket team’s T20 World Cup uniform (September 19). A image that has become popular on social media before the publication appears to show Pakistan captain Babar Azam sporting a new uniform.

The 2022 T20 World Cup is just a few weeks away, and planning for the major tournament is already complete. The emphasis now is on the introduction of new uniforms after the announcement of their individual teams.

Pakistan is anticipated to join the party later today, along with teams like Australia and India, who have already shown their new uniforms.

The cricket boards attempt to generate excitement around their jerseys prior to distribution, and the Pakistan Cricket Board was no exception. The PCB has worked hard to pique interest among its supporters, but all of that work has been for naught thanks to this leaked image.

According to the leaked photos, some Pakistani fans are busy insulting their own team’s new uniform rather than waiting patiently. Fans are making fun of the fact that the watermelon fruit, which we all love to eat, served as the basis for this new pattern. Some people have even compared it to the watermelon-flavored chewing gum wrapper.

Pakistan’s new uniform contains many diagonal patterns in two distinct hues of green across the front, according to photographs of the jersey that have leaked online.

With regard to the match itself, Pakistan and England will play a seven-game home T20I series starting tomorrow (September 20). The first four games will be contested in Karachi, and the final three contests will be held in Gadaffi Stadium in Lahore.

Pakistan lost to Sri Lanka in the 2022 Asia Cup final prior to this series. Pakistan have made many changes to their lineup for the major event as a result of that loss, and the forthcoming series is a wonderful opportunity for them to get their act together before the main event.
