D I Khan: Accused sentenced vigorous life imprisonment in ex-Vice Nazim Tehsil murder case

Additional Sessions Judge D I Khan Syed Mudassir Shah Tirmazi, pronouncing the verdict in the murder case of ex-Tehsil Vice-Nazim Prova Khursheed Ustrana issued orders of vigorous life imprisonment and a fine of Rs. 0.4 million (4 lac) to the accused.

The Police said that the ex-Tehsil Vice-Nazim of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf from Tehsil Prova Khursheed Khan Ustrana was on his way to his home from Kirri Shamozai in a car along with his brother on July 1, 2020 when a person named Uzair son of Naseeb, resident of Mangal standing on the side of the road near the graveyard on Kirri Shamozai-Mangal Road signaled the vehicle to stop.

According to the brother of the deceased Khursheed Khan Ustrana, his brother got out of the car and went near the accused when suddenly the accused sprayed his brother with bullets and managed to escape from the spot.

The brother of the deceased was attempting to immediately shift him to the District Headquarters Hospital, D I Khan in a critical condition, but he died of his fatal injuries on the way.

On the report of the victim’s brother Masood Khan, Chaudhwan Police registered a case under section 302 against the accused Uzair son of Naseeb, resident of Mangal and arrested him during a successful operation.

In the light of the arguments of both parties and the statements of the witnesses, the court convicted Uzair of the crime under section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code and issued orders to pay a fine of Rs. 0.4 million (4 lac) to the heirs of the deceased and vigorous life imprisonment, if the accused will not pay the fine he will have to undergo six more months of imprisonment, the offender has also been given the benefit of Section 382-B.
