Burj Khalifa pays tribute to Queen Elizabeth
At 2,700 feet tall, the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, is illuminated with the image of the late Queen Elizabeth II and the British flag.
The official website of the famous skyscraper in Dubai shared a video commemorating the late British monarch in a special light show on its Twitter account on Sunday.
The #Burjkhalifa lights up to mourn the death of Queen Elizabeth II. The Khaleej Times reported that the Burj Khalifa was honored a day after Abu Dhabi’s monument was lit purple in honor of the queen.

Queen Elizabeth II has died after serving as Queen of the British Empire for 70 years. On Saturday, landmarks in Abu Dhabi were lit up in purple in honor of the Queen.

Following her death on Thursday, many international monuments paid tribute to the Queen. The Eiffel Tower in Paris was dimmed last Saturday in honor of Queen Elizabeth.
