The future biography of Wasim Akram is expected to contain some “startling disclosures”.

The planned book of legendary Pakistani cricketer Wasim Akram will focus on “startling findings” on the Malik Qayyum Commission report, match-fixing, and famous cricketers.

The “Sultan of Swing” said this week to a Pakistani publication that the book “Sultan Wasim Akram” would be published in the coming weeks. He explained, “His biography was written by a well-known English author.

The book will be translated into numerous languages, including Urdu, according to Akram. Akram will include recollections from both his personal and professional lives in his book. In his biography, he will also talk about Imran Khan and the 1992 World Cup.

In his next book, Akram promised to share some hitherto unheard tales from his cricketing career.

In order to look into claims of match-fixing in the 1990s, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) established an inquiry commission led by Justice Qayyum of the Lahore High Court. Salim Malik and Ata-ur-Rehman were among the cricketers accused of match-fixing in the 2000 report.

The evidence against Wasim Akram has not reached the necessary level, principally due to Ata-ur-self-perjury, Rehman’s according to the commission report. This Commission is prepared to view him favourably. Nevertheless, there is some evidence that questions his honesty.

As a result, this Commission advises that he be relieved of his duties as captain of the Pakistan Cricket Team and replaced with a person of impeccable character. In addition, he need to receive a censure, be monitored, and have his funds looked into.

Additionally, Akram was fined Rs 300,000 by the commission.
