Issue of Arba’een pilgrims is alarming due to Closure Iraqi Border: Faisal Kundi
Faisal Karim Khan Kundi said the political crisis in Iraq cause the closure of Iraqi International borders is an alarming issue for Arba’een pilgrims.
He said this as a delegation comprising of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Central Information Secretary Faisal Karim Khan Kundi, Provincial Minister of Local Government and Rural Development Sindh Syed Nasir Shah, PPP Deputy Parliamentary Leader in KP Assembly Ahmed Karim Khan Kundi met with Foreign Minister and Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar.
Pakistan People’s Party’s Central Information Secretary Faisal Karim Khan Kundi said to Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari that the current situation in Iraq is alarming as well as for Pakistani because due to the closure of the Iraqi border, a large number of pilgrims from Pakistan are missing from going to Iraq to observe Arba’een.

“I request you [Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari] to resolve this problem and talk with Iraqi authorities about the closure of Iraqi International Borders as every year a large number of pilgrims went Iraq to observe Arba’een but this time it is difficult for pilgrims due to the closure of the border,” he said.
Talking to the delegation, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari said, the unity of the Muslim Ummah and the end of its sufferings was the mission of my grandfather, Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
Mr. Bhutto said, Shaheed Bhutto is still respected by the Muslim Ummah.
After the highlighting of the closure of the Iraqi border issue by Faisal Karim Kundi, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari issued instructions to summon the Iraqi ambassador after meeting with the delegation.
On the direction of FM Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar immediately summoned the Iraqi ambassador to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
