Deadliest Gorgora Land Dispute resolved in Waziristan, Tribes withdraw their troops

The one of the biggest land dispute in Wana, Gorgora Land Dispute which claimed many lives in past between the two major tribes Zali Khel and Khojal Khel in Wana, South WaziristanWaziristan, is moving towards resolution and the armed fighting between the tribes ended after several jirgas and negotiations with the help of District Administration of South Waziristan.

After successful Jirgas with Additional Assistant Commissioner (AAC) Wana Dr. Sadiq Ali and DSP Wana Iqbal Baloch, the two tribes withdrw their troops and vacated the tents of their armed men.

The Additional Assistant Commissioner Wana Dr. Sadiq Ali said, the decision of the Gorgora land dispute will be made according to tradition by Atmanzai Tribal elders from North Waziristan, fow which the district administration of South Waziristan has called Atmanzai tribal leaders from North Waziristan.

On the other hand, the tribal elders of Wana, Political Parties, scholars and people appreciated the continuous effort and courage of the district administration.

It should be remembered that this was a long-standing land dispute between these two tribes, Zali Khel and Khojal Khel, over the Gorgora area of Wana while many times in the exchange of fire, people have died on both sides and many people have also been injured.
