Situation across Pakistan still mournful following heavy rains

Thousands evacuated from Bahawalpur as Sutlej witnesses flood situation

The planet Earth is the only possible place where humans can survive using its innumerable blessings. At the same time, there are a few problems with the unpredictable seasonal changes of this planet. One of them is floods. Around the globe, people are subjected to many natural calamities, but in our country, Pakistan, this havoc brings a chain of problems along with it. Coupled with political incapacity these problems become a great crisis for the people who live near the water channels in which the northern area of Balouchistan, Sindh & lower Punjab are prominent, in addition to a lion’s share of KPK’s territory.

Thousands of people have died more than 100 thousand people have lost their homes, and several thousand got injured during buildings collapses and during traveling to safe areas. The monsoon rains have damaged roads, bridges, railway tracks, and power stations across the country.

All the measures taken by the government are unsatisfactory and incomplete and do not bring any practical benefit to the people. Everywhere is a mournful situation people are crying to God for mercy. But what I witnessed today was a heart-wrenching incident, when an old patient came to me at Hepatology outdoors patient department Sukkur for his monthly treatment of Hepatitis. After asking he revealed that they live in a village nearby Shikarpur Sindh, everything that belonged to them was washed away in the rainfall, houses collapsed, animals swam away joint family shattered, and the property was destroyed hardly they were able to save their lives and escaped the flooded area.

Sindh Government lacks all infrastructure to rescue afflicted people, As CM Sindh disclosed a few days back about lack of tents and other necessities and another video was circulating on Social media Where a Jagan Khan bhayo, Sardar of Bhayo tribe was seen crowded by flood affected people who were asking him to provide us the tents for living because we are living under the open sky, and he was saying he had no tents to give you but I will give you whatever is in my pockets.

I appreciate all those Non-government organizations that are working for the welfare of the people and request all the benefactors to extend their hand to the nation that is under the terrible effect of heavy rainfall and flood.

  1. May Allah swt have mercy on us. Government and NGOs should come forward to make up the loss of poor people.
