Instagram debut its new teen-friendly content settings
Instagram has updated a set of important features, and people under 16 will now automatically use the app’s most restricted content option.
Also, it will try to get other teens to do the same thing and add a new “Settings check-up” option that tells teens how to change their privacy and security settings.
The updates are being sent to users on all platforms around the world because of growing regulatory pressure about social networking apps and the small safety concerns that come with them.
The “Standard” setting on Instagram limits how much sensitive information or accounts users can see. The “Less” and “More” settings add more restrictions, while the “Standard” setting only lets users see a certain amount of sensitive information or accounts. At the moment, only “Standard” and “Less” are available to teens, while users over the age of 18 can usually access “Standard,” “Less,” and “More.”
The “Less” option on Instagram was first made available in June. It started rolling out a new feature in the US and other countries a week ago. This feature suggests to teens that they look at different content if they spend too much time on one topic and avoids topics about comparing looks.

They will have to look at their privacy and security settings, like who can message them, who can share their information with other people, what kind of content they can read, and how to manage their time.
