Film director Savan Kumar Thak has been admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai. The 86-year-old director and producer has a history of lung disease. His nephew Navin, a Punjabi film producer, told indianexpress.com that the older filmmaker was critical.
“He has several health conditions, weak lungs and is critically ill. We admitted him to Kokilaben Ambani Hospital yesterday where he is in intensive care,” he said. Because of his age, his lungs are also weakening. Doctors are treating him, but we are all praying for him as he is not responding very well and is not recovering properly.
When asked if Tak had a heart attack, Nabin replied, “No, it has not. He has been suffering from lung problems for several years. Sawan has been feeling weak and feverish for the past few days. I thought it might be pneumonia, but when I came here, I found out that his lungs were completely damaged.
