It has been observed that all the economic, social as well as political indicators are on the verge of decline posing some unprecedented challenges to the notion of democracy. The changing and worsening crisis in the state are leaving little or no room for democracy to flourish in its own manners.
It will be not wrong to say that in this entire episode of decaying of democracy, youth has become the real victim of it. As lack of tolerance owing to the rising polarisation is impeding their growth in terms of having their own political point of views. The society is not tolerating the divergent views owing to the enhancing complexities in the society. Youth sees minimal potential of thriving in a state like Pakistan where democracy is at the verge of declining. The rising economic inequalities has paved the way for unemployment for youth ultimately leaving no option for them other than leaving their homeland and settling abroad.
As optimism about future lacks in youth. Democracy isn’t flourishing the way it was expected to flourish when our forefathers considered it to be the most suitable for the state. As lack of competency of state institutions as well as the dearth of leadership have marked the question of who is going to take an initiative of bringing our beloved motherland on the right track?. Pakistan needs such a revolution where weak can flourish in the same way as that of the rich. The stronger ones should not be allowed to misuse the power and law should be equal for everyone irrespective of class standards existing in our society.
Our country can strengthen when the opportunities are equal for both the rich and the poor ones. We need such a infrastructure where minority isn’t deprived of any opportunity owing to religious factor. Political hatred and changing civil military relations have impeded the growth of the country. It is essential to bring back country on the right track and work on progressive strategies for reviving the notion of democracy.
