Asad Umar, the secretary general of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and a former federal minister stated on Saturday that his residence in Karachi, not his residence in Islamabad, was the one that had been searched by the police.
The PTI leader responded to the Islamabad Police’s yesterday’s tweet in which the Force denied conducting a raid on Asad’s home and stated that he was yesterday in Karachi rather than Islamabad.
کچھ دیر پہلے پولیس موبائل میرے گھر ائ اور ساتھ کام کرنے والوں سے پوچھا کے اسد عمر یہاں رہتے ہیں. دیکھتے ہیں کیا ارادہ ہے ان کا

Yesterday, Asad tweeted that a police mobile vehicle had stopped by his home.
Without conducting an investigation, the IGP media team in Islamabad refuted the claim made by the PTI secretary general.
The Federal Capital Police even used a menacing tone while asserting that they were aware of the residence addresses of every single PTI leader.
Asad was in Karachi on Friday, campaigning for NA-244 in connection with the upcoming by-elections.
