Following the Election Commission of Pakistan’s announcement of the by-elections scheduled for them, candidates from various political parties, including the PTI chief, have begun submitting their nomination papers for the open National Assembly seats.
According to reports, Haji Shaukat Ali filed the nomination paperwork on Imran Khan’s behalf for the NA-31 seat in Peshawar. He also turned in his paperwork to run as a covering candidate.
After Shaukat Ali, a PTI member accepted his resignation, this seat became vacant.
Imran Ismail, a former governor of Sindh, also turned in Imran Khan’s nomination paperwork for the Karachi NA 246 by-election.
Following the acceptance of the resignations of PTI members of the lower house, PTI Chief Imran has decided to run in the nine NA seats up for by-election on September 25.
For the election for these seats, the PTI leader has already prepared his nomination documents. In NA-22, NA-24, NA-31, NA-45, NA-108, NA-118, NA-237, NA-239, and NA-246, he would run for office.
