On Independence Day

About 23 crore people of the dear motherland are going to celebrate the 75th Independence Day on August 14 this year. Pakistan is the greatest blessing of Allah. Events, seminars, meetings, processions, and rallies will be held all over the country on the occasion of Independence Day. When the historical facts of the birth of Pakistan are brought to the fore, this day also demands a lot from us.

The most important point is that we should know the reward for making this country and making so many sacrifices. Renew this day that this is the only state that came into existence in the name of Islam after the state of Madinah. This means there is no god but Allah. Quaid-i-Azam said in sweeping words: We are looking at the establishment of a free and independent state in which Muslims can live according to the principles of their religion. And it will be subject to the Sunnah. When the Quaid-i-Azam was asked about the constitution and constitution, he replied in words written in golden letters: Our constitution is the same that Allah Almighty gave us fourteen hundred years ago in the form of the Qur’an. Not a piece of land but an Islamic laboratory, where we will be able to adopt Islam as a system of life and live our lives according to the Qur’an and Sunnah. This is the goal of Pakistan, it cannot afford to dance, spread obscenity, and corruption.

As individuals, we consider only the four walls of our house as our own. We clean within the four walls and throw the household waste in the street. We keep the house clean but we do not keep the country clean. Far from taking the country as our responsibility, we may have even stopped taking it as ours. How can we neglect our duties by putting the responsibility of everything on others, on institutions, on society, on media, political leaders, and the government?

Nations live on the basis of their ideals. With the fixed imprints of their ancestors and the existence of those who forget their ideals, this earth will not last long. Their existence is soon erased like a wrong letter and then Pakistan without its ideology is like a body without a head. For the sake of this country, our ancestors were tied and blown up in front of cannons, how many youths were put in prison, whose bones also ended in the same prison? Mothers and sisters were killed, they were lifted from the roofs and beaten to the ground, their heads were severed, and their heads were presented to their families at breakfast. Their bare livers were torn apart in front of their mothers, the extreme brutality was that pregnant Muslim women’s bellies were ripped open with swords and their children were taken out and they were raised on spears.

We are going to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the independence that was achieved after blood, honor, sacrifice, and martyrdom, but poverty, ignorance, unemployment, economic crisis, rotten education system, and discrimination continue to exist in this country. The imbalance of Justice, feudalism and capitalism, poverty and bankruptcy, religious and linguistic differences prejudice, and deprivation, are chained in the chains of dangerous diseases. Why is this nation deprived of basic rights? Although more than seven decades have passed since that day. Why even today oppression hurts and the poor sigh? Why are they still indebted to the IMF and others despite being equipped with natural resources? Why a section of the Oxford curriculum is deprived of a section of basic education? What is the reason that the countries that gained independence much later than we are developed today while we are suffering from degradation?

On Independence Day, keep in mind the great blessings of Allah Almighty and the sacrifices of our ancestors, organize seminars in all educational institutions, and in this, all the conditions and reasons for which this country was obtained should be presented to the new generation. Despite celebrating Independence Day with enthusiasm for 75 years, even 20% of the new generation may not know the real objectives. Even with the greatest intentions, if the path is taken wrongly, the destination is never reached. The Islamic Republic of Pakistan is where we are breathing freedom but we have not given the loyalty to this country that it requires.

Of course, every intelligent person is shocked to see that on the one hand, we are trying to bring development, an Islamic system of justice and accountability in this country, but our brothers and sisters in Occupied Kashmir are still chained to oppression. Of course, the objectives of the establishment of Pakistan were not fulfilled in the way our elders thought. If Quaid-i-Azam, Allama Iqbal, and other leaders of Tehreek-e-Pakistan were alive today, they would have cried tears of blood after seeing the current state of Pakistan. If we want to see this country as a state like Madina, then we should struggle in the same way. We should follow the footsteps of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and sincerely build Pakistan on the same lines as the laws were prevalent in Madina, then people will be able to get the kind of peace, the kind of peace that Allama Iqbal dreamed of.

Keeping our individual, political, religious, linguistic, communal, and ethnic distinctions in the foreground and the honor and sanctity of this nation at the center, we should unite on one platform today to express our gratitude for this opportunity for freedom. The nation is currently experiencing a grave moral and economic crisis, and instead of finding solutions, we are prepared to hurt one another. To solve the issues, we must step ahead. We need to consider how this system might be improved rather than criticizing it.

Come on! Renew your oath of allegiance to your country and nation as well as to yourself that this country is ours, and we are responsible. May Allah Ta’ala save this country from all internal and external conspiracies, distractions, poverty, terrorism, all problems, and crises, and may this country remain stable until the Day of Resurrection.
