JIT investigating hate campaign against Army to meet today

In an effort to track down those responsible for posting anti-Pakistan Army content on social media, Pakistan’s Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has convened a meeting of the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) today.

The Cyber Crime Wing of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) will give a report to the meeting on the progress of the investigation.

Senior officials from the Department of the Interior and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) will be in attendance.

After the Pakistan Army’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that there was resentment among Pakistan Army officers and personnel over the kind of content that was posted on social media following the military helicopter’s crash in Lasbela, Balochistan, during relief and rescue operations for flood-affected people, a joint investigation team (JIT) was formed. FIA and ISI and IB officials are also part of the JIT.
