On Monday, Punjab Minister for Sports Malik Taimoor Khan announced the immediate construction of a stadium in the village of Pakistani Commonwealth Games gold medalist javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem.
“Arshad Nadeem is a national hero, and I will personally welcome him,” said the provincial minister of sports.
He announced that a grand ceremony would be held to honor all Commonwealth Games medalists, including Arshad Nadeem.
“Everyone in the country is proud of Arshad Nadeem. Arshad Nadeem was previously provided with sporting facilities. He will continue to receive every possible amenity,” he said.
He pledged that the Punjab Sports Board would continue to promote sports in a vigorous manner.
