When the value of the dollar versus the Pakistani rupee fell on Monday, the price of pure gold in the local market decreased by Rs2,200 per tola.
While gold has gotten more expensive on the international market, its costs in Pakistan have decreased.
On the international market, gold rose from $7 to $1,774 per ounce on Monday.
In the Pakistani market, the price of 24-carat pure gold has reached Rs1,57,400 per tola, while the price of 10-gram gold has been lowered by Rs1,886 to Rs1,34,945.
