Students who arrived late for the Intermediate exam at the Lawrence Road examination centre in Lahore on Friday were denied entry.
Dozens of students demonstrated outside the examination centre after being denied entry.
They stated that they arrived 30 minutes late due to heavy traffic and inclement weather.
The board administration summoned the police and ordered the students to disperse for making a racket outside the examination centre.
“The students are being arrested on the charges of commotion,” said the candidates for Intermediate exams while talking to the media.
They also claimed that board officials threatened them with filing cases and wasting a year of their time.
On the other hand, board officials stated that candidates were instructed to arrive at the examination centre one hour before the exam began.
“According to the rules, latecomers are not permitted to take the exam,” they added.
