Many PTI MPAs don’t want to vote for Pervaiz Elahi: Rana Sana

Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah stated during a press conference on Thursday in Islamabad that many MPAs of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) did not want to vote for Pervaiz Elahi, the PTI’s candidate for Punjab chief minister.

“I still say that the PTI MPAs can run away from voting [in the Punjab Assembly],” he claimed and alleged that PTI Chairman Imran Khan was the biggest horse-trader in history, but he accused others.

He claimed that Aftab Sultan, a former director general of the Intelligence Bureau (IB), was a trustworthy choice to lead the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

Aftab Sultan’s appointment as the NAB chairman had been approved by the federal cabinet, he told the media.

“Imran Khan spoke against the chief election commissioner (CEC) in an unethical manner,” deplored Rana Sanaullah.

He also made a sarcastic remark against Imran Khan, saying: “This strange blue-eyed person [of the powers that be] is never happy whether he wins or loses. He has nothing to do except leveling allegations and hurling threats.”

He alleged, “Imran Khan himself is engaged in horse-trading. Imran Khan bought the conscience of the people in Azad Kashmir elections.”

He also appreciated the role of the election commission in the by-elections, stating that Pervaiz Elahi was not qualified to become the Punjab chief minister.

“Those who have a conscience will not vote for Pervaiz Elahi,” Rana Sana pointed out.
