Sheikh Rashid Ahmad, a former interior minister and the leader of the Awami Muslim League, filed a petition with the Supreme Court on Wednesday asking for the right to vote for Pakistanis living abroad.
The petition begged the court to deem Clause 94 of the Election Act Amendment unconstitutional.
Additionally, the petitioner asked the court to direct the government to take action to give Pakistanis living abroad the right to vote.
Speaking to reporters in front of the courthouse, Sh Rashid claimed that Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf was really just another name for Imran. He declared that wherever Imran went, his party would be there.
Additionally, Ch Pervaiz Elahi, the head of the PML-Q, was mentioned by Sh Rashid as the PTI candidate for the chief minister of Punjab.
